Who We Are
We founded At Everybody’s House in 2019 to provide flexible and adventurous individualised support to people with disabilities. Prior to that, we had spent years working for other service providers. Consistently, the men and women we supported told us the same two things: “I wish my life didn’t have to be so routine” and “I want to explore more of Australia”. We decided to listen to those words.
Choice and control, fun, dignity of risk, and capacity building are at the core of everything we do. Whether you communicate in words or actions, we will find a way to hear what you want and then work with you to make it happen in your way. You might use verbal words or sign language to communication, or you might show us a YouTube video or tourism brochure. You might be asking to bake a cake or to go to the Big Red Bash. We will listen and support you to achieve these dreams. In addition to baking many cakes, the people we support have been to the Bathurst 1000, ridden the Mary Valley Rattler, cheered on their favourite NRL team, spent hours fishing, learned to paddle a canoe, drunk some excellent coffees and cuddled plenty of cute animals.
Every decision we make is shaped by our respect for each person we support as an individual who has a right to live their best life in line with their interests, strengths and goals.
We are Paul Cronin and Andrew Bysterveldt - two experienced disability support workers who think so far outside the box, we haven’t see it in a while.
Andrew is our Director but he prefers the title: Master of Adventure. He is the mastermind behind the big ideas that lead to adventures like the Summer of Speedway, Mission Red Centre Nats and Tour de SuperCars.
Andrew is a member of the Australasian Society of Intellectual Disability. He holds a Master of Human Service, Graduate Certificate in Case Management, Bachelor of Arts, Diploma of Community Service and Certificate IV in Disability. But don’t think he lives in an office. Andrew is right here next to you bringing all these skills to your direct support. He believes that you deserve the best support
Paul is our Manager of Operations but he prefers the title: Master of Fun. He is the steady rock who makes sure you have support to get the little things done while Andrew is dreaming up the big schemes. He makes learning life skills a joy.
Paul has been a support worker for almost 40 years. He holds a Diploma in Community Service and Certificate III in Disability. With his extensive experience, you can be certain that Paul will know how to navigate all the tricky situations that arise like illness, life changes and important conversations you might want to have.
