Our history

At Everybody’s House was founded in 2019 with a simple but powerful goal: to provide flexible, adventurous and truly individualised support to people with disabilities.

Before starting our own service, we spent many years working for other providers. During that time, we heard the same two messages over and over again from the people we supported:

  • “I wish my life didn’t have to be so routine.”
“I want to explore more of Australia.”

We chose to listen.

From day one, we built Everybody’s House around choice and control, fun, dignity of risk, and genuine capacity building. These principles aren’t just words to us — they guide every shift, every plan, and every adventure.

Whether you communicate with words, signs, gestures or actions, we will find a way to hear you. You might tell us directly. You might show us a YouTube video or a travel brochure. You might ask to bake a cake — or to go to the Big Red Bash. However you express it, we will work alongside you to make it happen, in your way.

Over the years, the people we support have:

  • Baked countless cakes

  • Travelled to the Bathurst 1000

  • Ridden the Mary Valley Rattler

  • Cheered on their favourite NRL teams

  • Spent long, peaceful hours fishing

  • Learned to paddle a canoe

  • Shared great coffee

  • Cuddled plenty of very cute animals

Every decision we make is shaped by deep respect for the individual. We believe every person has the right to live a rich, meaningful life that reflects their interests, strengths and goals — not someone else’s idea of what their life should look like.

That belief is the foundation of Everybody’s House.
